    Mrs. Messina has been teaching early childhood education for 20 years, including 2, 3, 4 year olds and Universal Pre-K.  She has her MS in Elementary Education from SUNY Fredonia.  She loves bringing fun into the classroom, and loves when her early learners are truly excited to come to school!  She is so happy to be part of the SJV family this year in PreK-3!

    I work with the most welcoming, caring and kind staff at SJV. Although I have only been here for just over a year, I have grown so much with the help of multiple staff members who have helped me along this journey.  I am so grateful to be employed here, and absolutely adore the children and families that belong to SJV!

    Mrs. Fabian, an SJV alum, has been teaching in Catholic Schools since 1989. She enjoys sharing her faith and making learning fun for the youngest members of our school community. She provides a solid foundation and the necessary building blocks to better enable her students to become lifelong learners.

    It has been my utmost pleasure to be a part of the SJV school family for the past eleven years. I have been an Aide in the Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and presently in Pre-k4. I am also thrilled to plan school wide events such as The Merry Moose Christmas Shop and Field Days. I love working with the children and being a part of helping them grow and learn!

    Mrs. Hart has been working at SJV for 5 years. This is her 4th year teaching Pre K. She attended Canisius College where she received a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Science and a Masters in Literacy Education (Birth through Grade 6).   It is her mission to create a safe, faith based, welcoming environment that builds lifelong learners. Students learn through play, music, and hands on activities. She enjoys working with Pre K students and watching them grow throughout the year. It is a pleasure to be part of the SJV community!

  • Katie Goodrich

    Mrs. Goodrich loves teaching Kindergarten! She attended Daemen College to receive her Bachelor of Science in Childhood and Special Education with a concentration in English. Mrs. Goodrich has been working with the Diocese of Buffalo for four years and this is her third year teaching at SJV. She has a wide range of experience, including 6th and 7th grade English, Kindergarten, and First Grade. She also has experience in Early Childhood. Mrs. Goodrich loves seeing her students succeed and become independent. She enjoys seeing her students enthusiastic about learning.

    I have a Master of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Buffalo State University. Since joining the SJV family, my mission is to provide a fun, nurturing and creative environment where I can use my life skills to help all children lay the building blocks to their future. Currently, 2 of my 5 grandchildren attend SJV and one graduated from SJV in 2015.

    Mrs. O’Hara is so happy to be a part of the SJV community! She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and childhood education and am currently pursuing her master’s degree in special education. She has had many long-term substitute experiences in grades 1 through 4, as well as leading a pre-k classroom over the past five years. She strives to provide a safe and loving environment for all her students. Her goal is to ensure that they are passionate about learning and growing as individuals.

    Mrs. Manley has been part of the S.J.V. School family for more than twenty years.  She attended SUNY College at Buffalo and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education.  Mrs. Manley promotes Christian values throughout her teaching and feels honored to help her students prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. She strives to provide a classroom environment where all students achieve to their potential through hands-on and cooperative learning experiences, STREAM activities, and opportunities to live their faith.

    Mrs. Gawlik is an educator with over 20 years of classroom experience in the Diocese of Buffalo. Certified in grades pre k-6, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY College at Fredonia and a Master of Science in Education from SUNY College at Buffalo.  Mrs. Gawlik strives to ensure that every child's learning styles are addressed in a classroom that integrates faith, technology and engaging, hands-on lessons.  She is thrilled to be part of the St. John Vianney family.

    Mrs. Scupien has been teaching for 13 years at SJV. She has a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Development from SUNY University at Buffalo and a Masters in Elementary Education from Medaille College. Teaching 4th grade has been her passion for the last 7 years. She promotes a fun and energetic learning environment enriched with our Catholic Faith. Mrs. Scupien incorporates STREAM activities and 21st Century Math Skills into her daily routine.

    Mrs. DePasquale has been an educator for over ten years in both public and private schools. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Childhood Education, a Masters in Educational Technology, and multiple teaching certifications. Mrs. DePasquale is very passionate about Math and brings that energy into the classroom. Whenever possible she incorporates hands-on learning and 21st Century Math skills. Mrs. DePasquale is also a huge fan of escape rooms and loves to utilize the ever growing resources to bring Math Escapes into her lessons.

    Ms. Donohue graduated from SUNY Fredonia with high honors as an English major and a minor in psychology. She has had a passion for reading and writing since she was a little girl, and strives to share her love for ELA with her students here at SJV. Ms. Donohue is looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!

    Mrs. Maloney has been teaching for 18 years in the Diocese of Buffalo. She joined our SJV family when her school closed. She is overjoyed to be a part of such a great school community. Mrs. Maloney has a dual-certification in Elementary/Exceptional Education. She furthered her schooling and acquired a Masters in Learning and Behavioral Disorders at SUNY Buffalo State. Mrs. Maloney promotes a fun learning environment for all of her students. She incorporates hands on lesson, STREAM projects, and 21st Century Math activities.

  • Kelly McGarry

    Mrs. Kelly McGarry is the classroom music teacher here at SJV,  she  also has taught band lessons through Paul Effman Music.  She has a BS in Music Education from SUNY College at Fredonia and has taught classroom music PreK through High School for 14 years.  She has also conducted bands and choirs for Middle School and High School students and directed many musicals and specialty singing ensembles.  What makes working at SJV special?  The warm and friendly staff and students have made my first year back in the music classroom wonderful.  I look forward to making long lasting musical connections and memories with all at Saint John Vianney.

    This is Ms. McKeating's first-year teaching physical education at SJV.  It has been a very welcoming community.  She has a MS from SUNY Buffalo in Elementary Education.  Prior to this, she was in law enforcement for 24 years, bringing that experience with me.  She is  looking forward to meeting and working with all the families at SJV.

    Dr. Parks began teaching at St. John Vianney this year.  She has over 20 years of teaching art to students in Pre-K through university levels.  She  believes the visual arts are essential to every child's education because they can nurture creativity, cultural competency, and visual literacy in an ever-increasing visual world. 

  • Susan Swords

    Mrs. Swords has been a registered nurse for forty years, most of which has been spent as a surgical nurse and operating room manager. She has also been a classroom LPN instructor as well as a clinical surgical technologist instructor.

    Sue’s decision to enter the world of school nursing has proven to be both gratifying and rewarding! Each day brings new challenges, acquaintances, and knowledge. The staff and students at SJV have enriched Sues life in ways she couldn’t have imagined. It is her mission to do the same for them!
