Meet the leaders at St. John Vianney

  • Kristine Hider

I come to you with twelve years of experience as a Catholic school principal. I taught first and second grade, as well as academic intervention (AIS) at Infant of Prague School.  I spent many years teaching developmentally disabled students from ages 4 years to 41 years old. Most recently I have served as a director of an early childhood education center. I will try to bring this broad range of experiences in education to my role as principal.  My belief is that education is a life-long process and I expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of St. John Vianney.  I have an AAS in Early Childhood from Villa Maria College, a BS in Elementary Education from Medaille College and MS in School Building Leadership from Canisius College.

I appreciate the rich traditions and esteemed reputation of St. John Vianney and have great expectations for our future. My vision is to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to strengthen our Catholic faith and the rigorous academics St. John Vianney already possesses; as well as develop new opportunities to enrich our school, parish and students.

  • Cindy Maloney
    Vice Principal

Mrs. Maloney has been teaching for 18 years in the Diocese of Buffalo. She joined our SJV family when her school closed. She is overjoyed to be a part of such a great school community. Mrs. Maloney has a dual-certification in Elementary/Exceptional Education. She furthered her schooling and acquired a Masters in Learning and Behavioral Disorders at SUNY Buffalo State. Mrs. Maloney promotes a fun learning environment for all of her students. She incorporates hands on lesson, STREAM projects, and 21st Century Math activities.

  • Father Mark Noonan

Fr. Mark is the new Pastor of Saint John Vianney Parish and School. He is honored to be a part of our team at SJV. Having studied and taught in Belize and Italy, and after serving as a country priest for eight years, he is excited to now serve our community with the dedication and commitment that the great priest, Saint John Vianney, gave to his own Parish.

  • Father Lukasz Kopala

    parochial vicar

Fr. Lukasz is excited to be returning for another year. He looks forward to continuing serving St. John Vianney!

  • Cindy Sodaro

    School Secretary

I am a product of Catholic education ( K – Grade 12) and attended St. Bonaventure Elementary and Immaculata Academy.  I graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting.  The two things that I value most in my life are my Catholic faith, and my family.  As I begin each day at St. John Vianney School, I am blessed to enter a building where our Faith is taught during classroom lessons and in the way we encourage our students to talk to and treat each other.  I am also blessed to be a part of the SJV family where students, faculty, and administration work together as a family.

  • Mary Kearns

    School Counselor

Mrs. Kearns joined the wonderful faculty at Saint John Vianney school as a school counselor.  I received my bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University and my master’s degree from Saint Bonaventure University.  I serve all students at SJV school Pre-k-8th grade.  As a school counselor I strive to serve as a guide, a role model, an advisor, a supporter, and a reliable source of stability for students, parents and teachers.  It is my goal to work and do everything to support the student’s pursuit of academic, social and career success.  My goal is to identify students’ challenges, guide them in discovering them, and equip them with strategies and the ability to know how and when to use them.  I love being able to work at SJV where I can help people every day. I like when I get to see students grow and achieve their goals.
